This house was designed as a family haven with the flexibility to double as a venue for business and charity functions,  The family considered it essential to embrace the beautiful vistas offered by this historic resort lake without sacrificing privacy.

The prime building location of the property was restricted by a steep bluff-like slope that was declared to be "unbuildable". The house straddles over 32 feet of rise on this steep slope, appearing castle-like on the lakeside, but cottage-like towards the neighbors.

Historically accurate, oversized details were created for use on both the exterior and interior to capture a true Scottish Castle experience.  A good balance was achieved between the public and private requirements of this house.  It is a structure that can impress guests and yet remain a warm and inviting home for the family.
